Huddersfield Giants continued their mini-revival with a fourth consecutive victory, deservedly beating Toulouse Olympique

Sam Halsall scored twice as the Giants moved above Bradford Bulls and climbed off the foot of the Super League table.
Huddersfield dominated the opening exchanges and it was wing Halsall who broke the deadlock, racing over unopposed in the left corner to cap a slick attacking move.
Toulouse responded, however, with Brendan Hands crossing for a try to bring the hosts level.
The Giants were forced to play half of the second period with 12 men, first after Tristan Powell was shown a yellow card and then following Taane Milne’s professional foul 16 minutes later. Even so, Huddersfield saw out the contest comfortably and extended their lead through a George Flanagan penalty.

Toulouse’s leading try-scorer this season, Mathieu Jussaume, pulled one back late on, but it proved little more than a consolation as Flanagan added a second penalty with just 30 seconds remaining.
Post-match analysis
Huddersfield have now won more matches in the past three weeks than they managed throughout the rest of the season.
For 10th-placed Toulouse, meanwhile, it was a fourth straight defeat. Their first Super League campaign since 2022 had begun with three consecutive victories, but their promising return is now threatening to fizzle out.
