He will re‑team with head coach Scott Parker, his former Tottenham Hotspur teammate and will bring a lot of Premier League experience to Turf Moor.
Walker made 15 appearances for City in the first half of last season before joining AC Milan on loan in January, though the Italian side declined to make the move permanent. During his eight years at City, he won an impressive 17 trophies, including the historic 2023 treble, and amassed 319 appearances.
Burnley, who secured promotion back to the Premier League in 2025 after relegation in 2024, have been active this summer. Walker becomes their fifth signing, following defender Axel Tuanzebe, left‑back Quilindschy Hartman, goalkeeper Max Weiss and winger Loum Tchaouna.

Walker, who has earned 96 caps, has been included in each of Thomas Tuchel’s England squads. He is focused on representing his country in a sixth major tournament and believes that playing in the Premier League will help him achieve this goal.
