Isaiah Vagana's quickfire double helped Wakefield Trinity pull clear of a determined Catalans side and move back into second place with a seventh consecutive Super League victory.

Wakefield missed several chances and were holding onto a slender 16-12 lead in Perpignan before Vagana struck twice in the space of five minutes to extinguish the Dragons' hopes.
Early tries from Jake Trueman and Cameron Scott put Trinity in control before Toby Sexton replied for Catalans, while Caleb Hamlin-Uele and Matthieu Laguerre exchanged scores to leave the contest finely poised heading into the final quarter.
Vagana's brace finally gave Wakefield some breathing room before Scott wrapped up the win for Daryl Powell's side with his second try of the night, finishing a brilliant solo run.

"It was a tough game so we were pleased to get the win. It was challenging for different reasons – it was quite warm and the boys handled that well. It's always hard to come and win here, they're a different animal when you play them at their home ground so it's really pleasing.
"We created lots of opportunities and didn't quite nail a lot of them, but we're a pretty good second-half team, we've shown that all year. If we score first we generally win.
