Brendan Rodgers side endured more European frustration as Sporting Braga struck in each half and a contentious disallowed equaliser sealed defeat in a turbulent Europa League night at Parkhead.

Celtic fans share annoyance about their performance and VAR decisions

Paul: I am not sure how the goal was disallowed, it appeared to come off his head. Even so, the chance only arrived because of a Braga mistake. There was no creativity and the players already look drained after just 10 games. It is nowhere near good enough.

Evan: Another poor result. We did not deserve to win but the disallowed goal changed the match and had it stood we probably would have gone on to take the points. It was a dreadful decision. Sebastian Tounekti was the one bright spark and at least Brendan Rodgers tried something different with a back three in the second half

Benjamin: Inept, toothless, clueless. No urgency, no desire, no cutting edge and nothing resembling a Celtic team. Something is badly wrong and the performance gave no sign of a solution. On this evidence, they will not progress in the Europa League and perhaps that is not the worst outcome. It feels like more embarrassment is on the horizon. A shadow of last season’s side, sadly.

Grant: There is no belief in this team and no confidence. Callum McGregor was well off the pace, lacking intensity or urgency. Daizen Maeda looks like he wants to leave. On the positive side, Tounekti has been very good as has Marcelo Saracchi. Kelechi Iheanacho should be excellent once he is fully fit. Kieran Tierney is miles short of sharpness and looks uncomfortable. I would not be unhappy to see Brendan Rodgers go, the football is dire.

Samuel: Dull and flat. Braga should have arrived nervous but instead played with confidence and finished their chances well. Maeda needs to be taken out of the side. Luke McCowan, Yang Hyun-Jun and Johnny Kenny all deserve more involvement. Iheanacho is giving everything and looks promising.

Jimmy: Toothless in attack, clueless at the back. The team looks more comfortable moving the ball backwards than attempting to play forward.

Christopher: We are playing dull, negative football. The system does not suit the players, who look timid and prone to mistakes in this shape. It needs a drastic rethink, moving away from constant play out from the back or endless passing between centre-halves and the goalkeeper.

Gordan: A ridiculous VAR call stopped the game turning in our favour. Beyond that it was another lifeless performance. Many wanted Bernardo to start but he was poor, particularly in defence. Kasper Schmeichel should be rested. Maeda worked hard but offered no real threat. The wheels have come off.
