Ryan Sessegnon had put Fulham ahead midway through the first half, latching on to Samuel Chukwueze’s through ball and lifting a clever finish over Djordje Petrovic.
Bournemouth’s response came from Semenyo, who picked up possession on the left, skipped past several challenges and kept the ball in play on the byline before threading a shot between Bernd Leno’s legs from an improbable angle.
The turnaround was completed when Justin Kluivert drove forward from the centre circle and unleashed a thunderous strike from distance that left Leno rooted.

Fulham pushed hard for an equaliser deep into stoppage time, but Semenyo sealed the result with his second of the night, finishing off a sweeping counterattack to cap a performance of goals and graft.
For long stretches the contest had threatened to drift towards stalemate, with both sides hampered by the wind and rain of Storm Amy. Yet Bournemouth’s late surge lifted them into second place, a point behind leaders Liverpool, though the rest of the league still have their fixtures to play this weekend.
How good is Semenyo?
Bournemouth supporters might have feared the worst after seeing around £200m worth of first-team talent depart in the summer.
Yet the decision to retain Antoine Semenyo has proved inspired. The Ghana winger has been central to their rise to second place in the Premier League, providing both goals and guile when it matters most.
His equaliser was a moment of brilliance, collecting the ball on the left, brushing past defenders, driving to the byline, and squeezing his shot through Bernd Leno’s legs from a narrow angle. Semenyo then turned provider for Justin Kluivert before capping his performance with a stoppage-time finish on the counter.
