Having guided Palace to FA Cup and Conference League glory, Glasner left the club at the end of last season before taking charge of Forest over the summer.

It initially looked like a triumphant return to Selhurst Park as Forest took the lead in the third minute through Dan Ndoye's neat, low finish. They dominated much of the first half and should have doubled their advantage, but Walter Benitez somehow denied Liam Delap from point-blank range.

Palace had offered little going forward but remarkably turned the game around with two goals just before half-time.

Daichi Kamada finished off an impressive team move to equalise four minutes before the break, scoring his first Premier League goal, before Jefferson Lerma headed Palace in front deep into stoppage time.

Palace perspective

The Eagles strengthened their grip on the game in the second half when Yeremy Pino slotted into the bottom corner, prompting Palace supporters to taunt their former manager with chants from the stands.

Benitez produced another fine save late on to deny substitute Chris Wood, preventing the Forest striker from reducing the deficit and giving the visitors hope of snatching a point.

Palace's second win of the season lifts them to 12th in the Premier League table, with Forest dropping to 14th.
