Antoine Semenyo had put the visitors ahead in the first half with his fourth goal of the campaign, a free-kick from the edge of the box that flew past Karl Darlow. Leeds levelled swiftly as Joe Rodon climbed to meet Sean Longstaff’s corner, his header deflecting beyond Djordje Petrovic.
Longstaff then produced a fine volley early in the second half to turn the match in Leeds’ favour. The hosts defended stoutly as Bournemouth pressed but were denied the win when Kroupi volleyed in during added time.
The result lifts Bournemouth to third place, with Leeds sitting in eleventh. Probably a good draw for both sides and one they would have taken before a ball was kicked.
A closer analysis of the impact of this match

This always had the potential to be an entertaining encounter and so it ultimately proved. While Leeds could not hold on for the win, they remain unbeaten at Elland Road this season with one victory and two draws. Bournemouth’s display was largely uninspired and their wait for a first win at the ground in any competition goes on.
From a Bournemouth perspective, their late goal means they've now have had their best start to a Premier League season after six games. Iraola's side have 11 points after six games and are third in the table. They are four points behind leaders Liverpool who lost at Crystal Palace
Best Leeds reaction
Tyrone, a Leeds United season ticket holder, told us: “Bournemouth are a strong side and many teams will suffer heavy defeats against them. A draw is a fair result and one we would have accepted before kick-off, even if conceding so late was painful. With performances of this level, there should be enough to secure survival.”
Clint, another match-going fan, added: “Another strong display, though once more they could not quite see it through. At 0-1 there was a real concern Bournemouth might run away with the game, but resilience earned a valuable point. A win would have been welcome, but no side can expect to prevail every week. What matters is that these players are starting to look like a team, and the anticipation now turns to the next match.”
