Whilst there were a range of points discussed below, it was interesting to read that some Newcastle fans are starting to question Eddie Howe. Might we see Newcastle's owners and board make a mangerial change over the next few months.
Daniel: Arsenal got what they deserved. We set up to avoid losing rather than to win, which is always disappointing. It was a negative tactical approach. Up until the 70th minute, Pope was man of the match, but then he returned to type. Thiaw continues to impress at the back and seems to fit in well. The midfield was absent, much like the forward line. Tonali tried to involve the midfield but failed. Bruno was nowhere to be seen, as was Murphy. Gordon was ineffective, only producing two moments of creativity. If this is Howe’s plan for the season, then you can keep it.
Sean Eddie Howe needs to go. There is nothing new here and no skill comparable to Alexander Isak. We were a one-trick team and now we cannot hit a barn door. Fresh management with new ideas is essential.

Mohammed: When will Newcastle’s coaching staff realise that sitting deep and constantly returning the ball to the opposition is not working? Sometimes a team must retain possession, but we are poor at it.
Ricky: We also have to examine Nick Pope’s performance. He was excellent in the first half but let the team down with poor distribution and was absent for the following corner.
Anthony: We are making the same mistakes as two seasons ago. We are struggling to compete in different competitions. The performance in midweek against Bradford was great, but I’m starting to think that we should have rested a few more players so they were fresh for this one. We can’t afford to keep dropping points and losing matches otherwise we won’t be back in the Champions League next season and Eddie Howe might be out of a job.
Pete: Bring Isak back. I’m only half joking.
