The 19-year-old was a standout performer at Euro 2025, helping the Lionesses lift the trophy and earning the Young Player of the Tournament award.

A product of Arsenal’s academy, Agyemang spent last season on loan at Brighton, where she scored five goals in 22 appearances in all competitions.

Agyemang made her senior debut for Arsenal in 2022. However, she has been unable to secure a regular role in the first team and has featured just six times.

Agyemang aiming to build on breakthrough summer

The past four months have been transformative for Michelle Agyemang, who announced herself on the international stage by scoring 41 seconds into her England debut against Belgium in April.

At Euro 2025 she featured for just 138 minutes without starting a match, yet proved invaluable to Sarina Wiegman. Goals from the bench in the quarter-final against Sweden and the semi-final against Italy forced extra time and provided the foundation for England’s eventual triumph.

Her impact in Switzerland has earned her a nomination for the women’s Kopa Trophy, awarded to the world’s best under-21 players. She was also shortlisted for the WSL Rising Star award last season after helping Brighton secure a fifth-place finish.

A return to the south coast promises greater chances of regular first-team football, with opportunities at Arsenal limited after their second-place finish in the WSL.
