The last meeting between the sides, in February, ended goalless, but Grant’s team will be eager to continue their goalscoring form and come away with three points.
Last week, in that 3-0 win over Leyton Orient, Ryan Ledson impressed with the Super Local Sports News match report stating that "the new captain delivered a composed and assured performance at the heart of midfield."

Previous matches between the two sides
The Terriers have met the Royals 61 times, winning 19 of those encounters. While Reading hold the stronger overall record, Town claimed the most significant victory in recent history.
In May 2017, Christopher Schindler’s decisive penalty found the bottom left corner beyond Ali Al-Habsi, sealing promotion to the Premier League and etching the moment into club folklore.
Since then the sides have clashed ten times, with Huddersfield enjoying some standout results, including a 4-0 home win in August 2021 and a dramatic 4-3 away victory later that season, when Danny Ward struck a hat-trick.
A closer look at Reading
Reading narrowly missed out on the League One play-offs last season, finishing seventh, three points adrift of Leyton Orient in sixth.
They began the new campaign with a 2-0 defeat at Lincoln City and will be looking to respond in front of their own supporters this weekend.
The summer brought significant change to the Royals’ spine, with Harvey Knibbs joining Charlton Athletic, Amadou Mbengue moving to Queens Park Rangers and Tyler Bindon returning to Nottingham Forest after his loan spell ended.
New signings have arrived at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, but Reading are still searching for their first goal of the season.
