The 19-year-old Dagnall now has seven tries in eight appearances, capping a mixed Saints performance with a brilliant individual effort late on.
It was Saints' fifth win in six matches, with much of the damage inflicted in a dominant first half. Tries from the returning Mark Percival, Dagnall, Kyle Feldt, Daryl Clark and a spectacular length-of-the-field score from Harry Robertson put the game out of reach before the break.
The second half saw a dip in quality from the hosts, while Castleford showed more purpose. But Dagnall reignited the contest with his second try, and Tristan Sailor added another to round off a one-sided encounter. The result moves Saints above Leeds Rhinos into fourth place on points difference.
Coming off a surprise defeat to Leigh Leopards, Saints were in need of a response and found it against a Castleford side short on form and confidence.

A poor night for Castleford |
Percival, back from illness, opened the scoring with a well-timed run onto a Moses Mbye pass. Minutes later, Sailor's chip bounced kindly for Dagnall to double the lead.
Sailor then broke through the Tigers’ defence before delivering a clever offload for Feldt to finish. Clark added a fourth after exploiting slack defending from the base of a scrum.

Castleford thought they had responded when Josh Simm crossed in the corner, but video referee Liam Rush ruled he had a foot in touch. That reprieve turned into another blow for the visitors as Chris Atkin’s attacking kick was picked off by Robertson, who raced from deep inside his own half to score Saints’ fifth.
The atmosphere, electric in the first half, began to fizzle as Saints took their foot off the pedal. But Dagnall revived the home crowd by slicing through a gap, chasing his own kick to the corner and grounding it ahead of the chasing defenders.
Two minutes later, Sailor added a final flourish by backing up a break from Ignatius Paasi and gliding over, with Feldt converting for the sixth time to complete a comfortable night for the hosts.
