Edinburgh | Hibs make sure of 3rd place

The visitors made a blistering start in Paisley, with Martin Boyle and Mykola Kuharevich both finding the net inside the first 10 minutes. Boyle had the chance to add a third before the break but was denied by Zach Hemming after racing through on goal, much to the frustration of a vocal away support.
St Mirren weathered the storm and found a lifeline with the final kick of the first half, Richard Taylor rifling home from close range after a Killian Phillips free-kick caused problems in the box.

The equaliser arrived midway through the second period when Roland Idowu delivered a teasing cross that Conor McMenamin deftly guided past Jordan Smith. The home side nearly snatched victory in the closing stages, McMenamin again involved, but this time his effort was brilliantly saved by Smith.
Moments earlier, St Mirren thought they had taken the lead when Mikael Mandron tapped into an empty net with Smith out of position. Referee Chris Graham, however, had already blown for a Hibs free-kick at the halfway line, prompting an angry response from Saints boss Stephen Robinson, who was booked for his protests. His frustration only grew when Greg Kiltie struck the post late on.
